Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or by installing or using the Heffos software and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use them.

If you accept these terms on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it. We may update these terms from time to time; continuing to use Heffos after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Account Registration

To install Heffos you create an account at app.heffos.com. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials and install tokens confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Your Server and Your Data

Heffos runs on servers you control. You are responsible for those servers, for the content you and your users store in your workspaces, and for backing that content up. We hold no copy of it.

The Heffos agent on your server reports technical information to us so we can deliver updates and keep your servers visible, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Heffos only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You will not use it for anything illegal or harmful, or that infringes the rights of others.

You will not try to gain unauthorized access to our services or other customers’ systems, interfere with their operation, or use them to send malicious code, spam or other harmful content. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

Intellectual Property

Heffos, its software, design and brand belong to us and our licensors. While your account is in good standing, you may install and use the Heffos software for your organization’s internal purposes.

Your content remains yours. Bundled third-party software, such as GitLab Community Edition, is provided under its own license.

Termination

You may stop using Heffos and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if required by law.

When your account ends, your workspaces remain on your server; the install tokens, updates and services that depend on your account stop.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Heffos is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law stated in your order or account confirmation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live are not affected.

Changes to These Terms

We will post any change on this page and update the date above. For significant changes, we will tell account holders by email before they take effect.
